Story: I will become Quaid-e-Azam
I will become Quaid-e-Azam!
By Aiman Saleem
“I am Quaid-e-Azam. My name is Muhammad Ali,”
Muhammad Ali said angrily.
“Hahahaha! He will become Quaid-e-Azam. Hey, first bring a cool mood like Quaid-e-Azam. I will become Quaid-e-Azam.”
“Hehehehe jelly-belly! Have you ever seen Quaid-e-Azam, how thin he was? You are so fat. I will become Quaid-e-Azam!” Yousuf said confidently.
“Oh, why are you guys fighting?” Ahmed asked.
What to do then? There was a new activity for the children on 25 December. All the street children together, were going to make a drama on Quaid-e-Azam. The drama had not yet been written when a quarrel broke out over who would become Quaid-e-Azam. All the children wondered what to do next. At the end, it was decided to go to Ahmed's grandfather and ask him who should become Quaid-e-Azam, so they all went to Nana Abu.
Nana Abu looked at all the children carefully and asked,
"First tell me what Quaid-e-Azam means."
None of them were ready for this question. They started looking at each other's faces. Nana Abu saw everyone upset and said,
“QUAID MEANS PROMINENTLEADER AND AZAM MEANSTHE GREATEST.”
Then he paused and said, "That is, the one who is a great leader and has to do great things"
“What great work did Quaid-e-Azam do?”
"Quaid-e-Azam made Pakistan," Ahmed exclaimed.
"All right! Now anyone who can explain why was it made?" Nana Abu asked.
"So that Muslims can live in this homeland," Yusuf said.
"Muslims also lived in India, so why did they create a
separate country?"
Now even the children were silent.
Nana Abu said, "Pakistan was achieved so that all
Muslims could live freely in accordance with all their
Islamic principles and live together."
"But Nana Abu! Tell me, which of us should be the
Quaid-e-Azam?" Muhammad Ali asked anxiously.
"All of us!" Nana Abu said.
"Everyone? How? What do you mean? Quaid-e-Azam will be the same!?" All the children's mixed voices came.
“Look, all of you, for your country but first for your neighborhood. Let's go for the neighborhood. First start big and good deeds from your streets. Everyone will start to recognize that this child is very good. He works for everyone, helps everyone, then you too will grow up to be Quaid-e-Azam.”
"So, shouldn’t we act?" The children asked,
"Don't act so as to please the soul of Quaid-e-Azam on 25 December." Nana Abu said.
“Yes, that's right," said all the children unanimously, and in their hearts, they pledged allegiance to Quaid-e-Azam.
