 The Cruel King

Composed by Huda Ilyas

Once there was a very cruel king. He was as evil as anyone could be. The king was brutal to his servants as he never let them rest, even for a second. He made them work for him all the time. He was wicked to his people as well because the whole country was left dirty and had many problems. The people went to complain to the king but the king never listened to them.  All the people were very upset and just wanted the king to be replaced but sadly, that was not possible.

One day some special visitors came to the country to have a visit and see how the country was. They were very impressed by the culture, its places, its monuments and many other things. They wished to live and rule that country. They did not tell the people about what they wanted but they talked to them politely and people loved them too.

After some days, the visitors went back. They told their experiences about the place and urged to rule the country. They all decided that they will conquer the country soon. They all started preparations for a battle. They kept many supplications and a lot of foods to survive during the battle. Soon, they were all ready.

Next day, in the early morning the visitors with their King came to the country and attacked. Everyone including the king got alert. Meanwhile, the people recognized the visitors and remembered that they were very kind to them. The king ordered his people to attack but the people were not ready. The king got worried. He yelled,

“HOW DARE YOU NOT LISTEN TO ME!?”  but the people did not help him because he was very cruel to them.

A very few of them stood up to help the king. They started fighting with the visitors. The people who were helping the king were his own sons! But the natives of the country helped the visitors to defeat their own king. Soon the battle ended. The visitors and their king won. The cruel king then realized that because he was not good with his people, his people took revenge. At the end, the king had no other home and the people with the new king lived happily ever after.
