 Pound Cake

Ingredients:

Butter 200gm

Caster sugar or powder sugar 200gms

Eggs 4 in numbers

Flour 200gms

Baking powder 1 tsp.

Milk 50ml

Vanilla essence 1 tsp.

8 by 8 inches square pan

 

Method:

1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees.

2. Cream butter and sugar together.

3. Add eggs 1 by 1.

4. Add vanilla essence.

5. Mix the dry ingredients together.

6. Fold dry ingredients in wet ingredients.

7. Add milk and mix it.

8. Add all the batter in a pan.

9. And put it in the oven.

10. Bake it for 30 to 35 minutes.

11. Put a skewer in the cake when it comes out dry. It means the cake is done.

12. Serve it at room temperature with tea.

 

Marble cake:

Add 1 tbsp. of cocoa powder in 1/4th of a cup of milk and add 2 tbsp. of batter as well in the milk and cocoa powder mixture. Add cocoa mixture in the center of the batter and mix it with the help of skewers, tap the pan and place it in the oven at the same temperature and timing.
